Ashley Lakin became personally interested in nutrition at a young age when dealing with her own personal health concerns. While working with an integrative doctor who helped her to identify several food sensitivities, Ashley realized first-hand the profound connection between diet, gut health, and her overall health.
Ashley has studied nutrition for over a decade. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in dietetics from University of Wisconsin-Madison in December 2015, she focused her attention on pursuing a more holistic approach to nutrition. In August 2016, Ashley earned her culinary certificate from the Natural Gourmet Institute in New York, the leading accredited health- supportive culinary school in the country. Later, she received her Master’s of Science in Integrative Nutrition with a concentration in herbal medicine from Maryland University of Integrative Health. Using her blended academic and culinary education, Ashley focuses on utilizing whole food, not just nutrients, to heal the body. Ashley is consistently focused on advancing her nutrition and lifestyle career and is currently working towards becoming a Certified Nutrition Specialist and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist.
